Computing Centre RAS is the huge research institute consisting
of 11 big departments (from 2 to 6 laboratories each, see the
information at the URL http://comcen-1.nsk.su). You can see that this
is really the institute of mathematical modelling where the models of
different phenomenons in different areas are developed. The problems of
these departments and the other research Institutions of RAS, located
in academgorodok (about 30), are the main source of our applications.
The main objective of the SSD is to provide these departments and
Institutions by the suitable parallel computing technologies.
In such a way Parallel Computing Technologies (PaCT) is
our main area. PaCT is considered as general methods of problem
solution + appropriate tools. Therefore, we spend our efforts first
for solution of big size problems and the development of parallel
software. As generalizetion of our experience in PaCT area the ASSY
technology has been developed
