The Institute of Computational Mathematics and Mathematical Geophysics (former Computing Center) of the Russian Academy of Sciences (Academgorodok, Novosibirsk), Institute of Computational Modelling of the Russian Academy of Sciences (Krasnoyarsk) and State Technical University of Krasnoyarsk are jointly organizing the Eighth International Conference on PARALLEL COMPUTING TECHNOLOGIES (PaCT-2005).

The conference will be held in Krasnoyarsk, September 5-9, 2005. Seven previous conferences have been held in Novosibirsk (1991), Obninsk (1993), St.-Petersburg (1995), Yaroslavl (1997), St.-Petersburg (1999), Novosibirsk (2001) and Nizhni Novgorod (2003).

The aim of PaCT-2005 is to give an overview of new developments, applications, and trends in parallel computing technologies. We sincerely hope this conference will help to deepen our understanding of parallel computing technologies by providing a forum for an exchange of views between scientists and specialists from over the world.
